The Secretary-General of the Catholic Diocese of Yei Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit is telling Christians to spiritually prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ.
Radio Easter quoted him explaining that many Christians today prefer material preparations.
Fr Lodongo mentioned that the coming of Christ is like the time of Lent where faithful are asked to fast and pray.
He added that the preparation of the coming of Christ worshipers should reflect their personal life of receiving faith.
The Secretary-General wonders whether Christians still have hope amidst the difficult situation of war and destruction in the state and country at large.
Jesus Christ is telling the faithful to have hope, the catholic priest added.
He advised the Christians to never count days, months and years in order to avoid losing hope.
The Secretary-General was preaching on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
