The Catholic Bishop of Yei Erkolano Lodu Tombe is celebrating the 33 years of his episcopate since 1986.
He told the congregation during prayers at Christ the King Cathedral that the work of the Bishop is for the Church especially chosen like the Diocese of Yei in Yei River and Amadi States.
The Catholic prelate explains that the word of God talks about the end of the world of life and that the life of people who will wait for end of the world with strong faith in the love of God for every human being.
He cites the example of Prophet Daniel and his friends in the Bible who were thrown into the hole of lions, but were saved because of their strong faith in God.
Vicar General of Yei Fr Zachariah Angutuwa describes Bishop Erkolano Lodu as a good shepherd of the Diocese.
He prays that God gives to the Bishop more knowledge of protecting his people in Yei and Amadi States.
Cardinal Maurice Michael Otunga Archbishop of Nairobi consecrated Bishop Erkolano Lodu on November 28, 1986 at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral in Khartoum, Sudan.
Bishop Lodu is currently 76 years old and serving Christians of the Catholic Diocese of Yei.
