Girls receive cash money transfer in Tonj State

Girls have received their cash money transfer from GESS this week in Tonj State.
 
Girls’ Education South Sudan money transfer is given to school going girls from primary five, to eight and senior one to four.
 
State County Education Officer, Edward Mathem says the girls were asked to present their cards that were provided to them in their various schools, before receiving the money.
 
Edward Mathem stresses about the challenges facing girls in schools. He advises parents and teachers not to take away the money from them because it is only meant for girls to support and facilitate their learning.
 
He calls on the girls to use the money in a good way, but not to give it to their parents or teachers.
 
Mary Nyaruon Makuei appreciates GESS organization for supporting girls in education and calls on parents to allow their daughters to go to school for their betterment in future.
 
The officials were speaking to Don Bosco Radio during the GESS money transfer in Tonj.
