The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Peter Machar Agok says he will handle the matter of two referees and the Local Football Association in Rumbek.
On Friday, the association dismissed Abraham Chol and suspended another referee for allegedly failing to obey the rules of football.
Minister Machar proposed an emergency meeting with the referees and the chairperson of the local football association, but none of them turned up for the discussion.
He urges both referees and the body to compromise and work for better sports in the state.
Chairperson of the football association Ater Deng Mabok says the compromise will come from the board of directors.
On Monday, a match between Holy Family FC and Sacred Heart was postponed because the referees did not turn up.
The officials hope to end the crisis facing Rumbek Local Association after the meeting.
