Rumbek local football Association says it has dismissed one of its top referees Abraham Chol on Friday after he allegedly failed to obey the rules of football.
Chairperson Ater Deng Mabok says the body also suspended another referee with similar misconduct.
He says the decision came after the referee was summoned several times by the board of directors to explain why he postponed the first match of South Sudan Premier League without notifying the association. But the referee allegedly refused to respond.
The dismissed referee Abraham Chol Gai says his dismissal is unlawful, but he admits that he cancelled the match due to bad football ground.
The dismissed official is one of the top referees who served in the football field for long.
