Traders in Yei town raise concern over slow markets for their goods. They say their goods are not being bought as expected.

Angelo Juma is a butcher who sells meat at Dar-salaam market. He says their business is affected because there are no cattle in the town.

Juma adds that they move to the rural areas to bring cattle for sell. He calls on the state government to construct the roads linking to rural areas to ease movement of people and cattle.

Monica Deya is another business woman who sells tomatoes, fish and onions among others. She blames salary delay for slow running of business.

Prices of goods have gone high due to the increase in the exchange rate of US Dollars against South Sudanese Pounds and poor roads.

A hundred US Dollars is equivalent to thirty two thousand South Sudanese Pounds in Yei.
