The consistence callers of Don Bosco Radio express their concerned over the failure of government to save lives of vulnerable civilians from attacks of strays dogs in Tonj town.
The callers explained that it is the work of Municipal Council with the help from the ministry of Animal Resources to handle such issues in the town.
According to citizens, more than ten people have died due to the stray dogs bites, but no action have been take over the matter.
For the security purposes the callers did not mention names, and the continued to explain that the presence of stray dogs in the town become a threat to the entire public especially school children and old age people who cannot defend themselves or runaway from angry stray dogs.
The listeners told Don Bosco Radio that the work of the government is to protect lives of civilians from any harm.
They call on the government to intervene quickly to save lives of vulnerable civilians in the state.
Listeners advised the public and communities of Tonj State not to send small children to market where dogs are available.
They also said parents should accompany their school children for protection.
The callers’ comments over the matter came during the morning breakfast show program on Friday.
Don Bosco Radio could not the government to comment over the matter by the press time.
