South Sudan needs quality education, but not quantity in schooling, according to Victoria Ayen Majok, Minister of Education in Western Lakes State.
Good News Radio quoted her on Wednesday encouraging teachers and staff of the ministry to give right services to learners in their various schools.
Ayen added that ‘it is a collective responsibility to provide good education to the citizens to build a better country in the future’.
The minister urged teachers to speak English during their school activities and design a punishment to learners who fail to speak the school language.
Ayen called on parents to allow their girls to go to school and prioritize education.
The minister was speaking to Good News Radio on Wednesday in Rumbek.
