A three-day capacity peace building training targeting 70 citizens in Yei River State under the theme: ‘Women can influence decisions’ concluded on Saturday.
According to Radio Easter the course was organized by Center for Democracy and Development or CEDED.
Dara Felix, program manager and chief facilitator for the training said majority of women are in the place of influence but decision makes it difficult to participate in governance and peace building due to cultural influence.
The training was meant to give women the capacity they need in making bold decisions in their offices such that no one takes advantage of them, he added.
Felix mentioned that women are courageous, determined, loving, kind and believe that if the in-born values and principles are made to the women they can make use of them for common good.
Viola Fekira, a participant urged CEDED to continue organizing such courses because they can change the lives of many people.
She called on the female members of parliaments to organize similar workshops for school girls and visit schools in order to give courage to the young ones.
The speakers made their remarks on Saturday in Yei.
