Capacity building training of Torit tutors has successfully concluded on Thursday with a call to empower teachers in their profession.
The training was organized by Strome Foundation with support from Norwegian Church Aid.
One of the facilitators Dr Joseph Ochan says the training aims at building the capacity of tutors with basic knowledge and skills for improved education in the country.
Okot Robert, a tutor in Torit says the skills he acquired will help improve learning system in the state.
He expresses his readiness to impart the skills he gained to teachers in grassroots.
Genesis Ohide, Torit State Acting Director for Quality Assurance and Standard in the Ministry of Education, encourages tutors to extend the skills to student-teachers at grassroots.
He adds that the state government is working hard to improve teachers’ condition in the area.
The speakers made the remarks on Thursday during the official closing of the workshop.
