Investor advises South Sudan government to move from war to oil field

The Executive Chairman for Africa Energy Chamber advises South Sudan government to move away from the culture of war and focuses on oil field.
 
NJ Ayuk in his opening remarks on Africa Oil and Power Conference calls on investors and the government to progress by employing the right people.
 
The Executive Chairman stresses that youth of the country are the right people in the oil field industry and empowering women to develop the sector is paramount.
 
Ayuk adds that there is need to improve the capacity of the current generation in Africa.
 
Petroleum Minister Awow Daniel Chuang says the ministry in collaboration with international companies will launch the first environmental audit on November to reduce the impact of environmental damage.
 
First Vice President Taban Deng Gai questions investors and the oil companies against polluting the environment which affects the communities.
 
He says there is need to provide services to the people to develop the country and the companies should use modern equipment to avoid pollution.
 
Deng suggests that each oil field area should receive 10,000 Barrels Per Day or BPD for the communities to benefit to develop the area.
 
The officials were speaking during the opening remarks of two-day South Sudan Oil and Power Conference were they announced that the Tharjath oil field will produce 16,000 bpd (Barrel Per Day)
