Torit State Director of Culture is calling on communities to embrace their cultures responsibly but leave the negativity that denies right of others.
Justine Thomson says people believe that some cultures have change due to the education system.
‘In culture people believe that they are rain maker but as I say the current situation where people are learned, educated and so forth, they are neglecting that I also believe in education itself. Some people believe in cows and some make something and they believe on it’, he adds.
Thomson urges citizens to embrace the good things about the various cultural practices.
The director discourages the issues of revenge killing and early marriages among the communities.
The speaker made the remarks to Radio Emmanuel on Monday in Torit.
