Wau governor Angelo Taban Biajo on Thursday called on citizens to show their unity to others for the peace and reconciliation to prevail in the state.
He said diversity among people can result to peace, stability and co-existence, Voice of Hope Radio reported.
The governor asked citizens to stands strong with their ministers so that they do their work well for the interest of peace in the state.
People of Wau have to work hard to fight the hunger for people to be in self-reliant through agricultural instead of depending on humanitarian aid from NGOs.
He advised the internally displaced people in the protection of civilian sites to return to their areas to participate in peace building and development.
The governor made the call during swearing in of the new cabinet on Thursday in Wau.
