Chairman of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North, Abdel Aziz Adam Al Hilu, appeals to political parties in Juba to address the root causes of the conflicts of the Sudan.
He believes tackling the issues of identity and relationship between religion and state can bring lasting peace to the Sudan.
UNMISS Representative on behave of David Shearer encourages the parties to Sudan peace talks to remain focus on the mutual trust on negotiation process.
He says the peace talks will boost economy and institution reform in the Sudan.
‘As the parties embark on negotiations this week, I encourage you to maintain focus on the fact that building mutual trust is a process that can only be achieved for constructive dialogue and concessions. I also encourage you to maintain focus on the fact that this process is not only a positive step forward, it is but also critical to achieving lasting peace in Sudan, which really in turn a step forward for you as parties to arrive a comprehensive peace agreement. It is also critical to achieving lasting in Sudan which turn every way for civic, economic and institution reforms and development’, says UNMISS representative.
He promises UNMISS continuous support to the Sudan’s peace process.
The leaders were giving their speeches on Monday during the Sudan’s peace talks under the mediation of Salva Kiir Mayardit in Juba.
