Missionaries of various Congregations including Sister Veronika who was killed in Yei and Fr Victor who shot in Cueibet laid their lives for the sake of the people of South Sudan, says Fr Louis Tony Okot, Superior General of Comboni Missionaries in South Sudan.
He says the missionaries watered the soil of South Sudan with their blood.
Fr Tony advises Fellow priest to take the examples of the missionaries who walked on foot to take Jesus to people and care for them in remote areas.
He uses Juba Archdiocesan centenary for missionaries and clergy for remembering all missionaries who laid their lives for the sake of the Gospel in South Sudan.
The Superior was speaking during the centenary celebrations of missionaries, clergy, religious, daughters of Sacred Heart of Jesus and youth at All Saints Parish Rejaf on Friday.
The celebration also coincided with the feast of St Daniel Comboni.
