Students of Torit Day secondary school are calling on their fellows to respect teachers.
The students say discipline promotes unity in school and improve the education system of a country.
Speaking to Radio Emmanuel the spokesperson for Torit day students Christine Gune Arkangelo mentions that many students lack respect to their teachers.
‘Some of the students’ are indiscipline to the extent they quarrel with teachers. If a teacher gives a student a punishment for being misbehaving, they refused to accept.
I want to say to the students you have to respect your teachers because without a teacher there is no school, teachers are like your parents in the schools.’
She adds says Teachers are the backbone of a nation.
Meanwhile Santo Ewot Comasu former head boy of the school urges teachers to continue moulding students through career guidance.
He appeals to school prefects to ensure Students follow School rules and regulations.
Torit Day Secondary School Head teacher Valari Afara Ohiri says cases of indiscipline have reduced in the school this year due to strict rules.
He encourages students to observe school rules and regulations for better performance.
‘The rules and regulation of the school are ever there and they know it right from senior one to senior four they know that one ,their parents all know that what is taking place .what we tell them is that if you go against the rule and regulations of you will be punished.’
