Western Lakes Local Football Association in Rumbek on Wednesday confirmed to Good News Radio that shortage of referees in the state is affecting their sport activities.
Chairperson of the Association Ater Deng Mabok says local competitions in Rumbek should start in both divisions but lack of referees forces them to start with division one clubs.
The official says despites all challenges, the tournament will start after their meeting with the few referees as they have already prepared required items.
Deng made the remarks in an exclusive interview to Good News Radio on Wednesday.
