The members of Child Protection Unit in Tonj State urged parents to take care of small children in their families.
Don Bosco Radio quoted, Chol Akok saying many children are neglected by their parents in many families across the country.
He says many children join street life because they are lacking parental care from their families all over the country.
Chol calls on the parents to care for their children, because they vulnerable people who need help from parents or guardians.
Maria Agok Mapal, says a good parent should care for his or her children by giving them medication and other body needs.
She mentions that many families where both parent take alcohol, children are left to suffer that why there are many street kids in the state and the country at large.
Agok says taking care of vulnerable children is a collective responsibility of both the father and the mother.
