UNICEF and African Development Bank are expected on Thursday in Juba to sign an agreement for ‘Improving access and quality of basic education’ in South Sudan
A Note CRN got says the project aims to contribute to increasing access to quality of education for 30,000 children in Upper Nile, Unity, Jonglei and Eastern Equatoria.
The project is also to boost learning outcomes for some of the most marginalized children in South Sudan, where more than 2.2 million kids are out of school.
Country Manager African Development Bank, Ben Kanu will ink on behalf of the Bank and UNICEF South Sudan Representative Mohamed Ag Ayoya will sign for the children agency.
Deputy Minister of Finance, John Dor Majok and Minister of Higher Education, Science Research and Technology Yen Oral Lam Tut are attending the ceremony.
Undersecretary, Ministry of Finance, Ucum Karlo Genes and Undersecretary Ministry of General Education and Instruction, Omot Okony Olok are anticipated are present at the event.
