Armed youth injured two women on Sunday evening at Western Bahr Naam County, says Radio Elijah Mabor Makuac Police Spokesperson of Western Lakes State.
He told Good News Radio that the young men were under the influence alcohol when they opened fire on victims.
Mabor adds that the women are currently receiving treatment at Rumbek State Hospital.
He advises young people to engage in productive activities rather than being idle.
No arrest has been made since the incident occurred because investigation is still on progress, the spokesperson mentions.
He urges the relatives of injured women to be patient as police are working to apprehend the culprits.
Earlier this month, a soldier was killed and two others died during a confrontation between armed civilians and the army.
