South Sudan joins globe in celebrating International Peace Day

South Sudan commemorated the International Peace Day on Thursday under the ‘Understand, own and support the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the conflict in South Sudan’.
 
Director of human Rights UNMISS Eugene Nindorera discloses that there about 594,000 displaced people and refugees who have returned home.
 
Chairman of Umbrella Party Peter Mayen urges university students not to be influenced by wrong politicians to take side on communities or group.
 
He adds that the students have a bigger role to play to bring peace in the country as a generation of tranquility.
 
Minister of Information Michael Makuei exposes that security arrangements are going very well and that non-signatories to the agreement the ones engaged in the ongoing fighting in Yei and Aweil.
 
He advises the youth not to be used again for war, but let them join development initiatives.
 
The officials were speaking at Nyakuron Culture Centre during international peace day in juba on Thursday.
 
The event attracted university students, government officials and NGOs representatives.
