Women Association in Wau state on Thursday organized a forum of one-day on the Revitalized Peace Agreement with more focus on women rights.
Acting chairlady, Teresa Pasquale Madut, explained that the purpose for the forum is to disseminate the agreement to the women in the state, Voice of Hope reports.
The chairperson discloses that many women do not know their role and even how to get 35 percent granted to them.
Some participants express their gratitude for getting information about the revitalized peace agreement and women’s rights.
They appeal to their fellow women to stand for their rights and make use of the percentage given to them.
Earlier this year South Sudan Women Peace and Reconciliation Forum Network was formed to disseminate peace agreement.
The speakers were speaking to Voice of Hope Radio during the conclusion of Women Forum at Women Association premises on Thursday in Wau.
