The President of the Republic of South Sudan expresses confident to form the transitional government by November 12 th , 2019 as stipulated in the revitalised peace accord that was signed on 12 th September,2018.
Salva Kiir Mayardit on his remarks during a prayer at statehouse- J1 said he prays for peace and reconciliation to heal the wounds of the people affected during the 2016, July conflict and peace to prevail among citizens.
‘Through your prayers the wounds will be healed from our bodies’, Kiir says.
Dr Riek Machar promised to return to the country so we can form the government, he adds.
The Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop Paulino Lukudu Loro, questioned the signatories to the peace pact that, where is the peace and if the signatories controlling the peace in the country or the international community and IGAD are in charge.
The Archbishop advises the gathering that the peace of South Sudan exist in the hearts of the people but not with other people abroad.
The leaders were speaking during the prayer that was organised by the South Sudan Council of Churches (SSCC) on Thursday in the State House (J1).
