20 people died of HIV/AIDS in Kauda, official confirms

The health official on Tuesday confirmed that twenty HIV/AIDS patients died and there are 238 others living with disease in Kauda of Nuba Mountains.
 
An officer in HIV/AIDS awareness department Munir Barnaba said many affected victims are young people between 13 and 35 years and above, Voice of Peace Radio reports.
 
He encouraged people to go to hospitals for check up in order to know their health statues.
 
The secretary of health Tutu Mustafa Turkash told the gathering that SPLM leadership is concerned of the increase of Sexual Transmitted Infections or STIs and argues community to jointly fight it.
 
The official called on the regional and county authorities, community and individuals to be agents of HIV/AIDS awareness.
 
The officials were addressing the gathering during Sexual Transmitted Infections or STIs forum in Kauda on Tuesday.
