The Commissioner of Rumbek Manyiel Riak Manyiel on Monday issued local order limiting students practicing native dances in all residential areas of the county.
He quoted Local Government Act 2009 to stop all native dances being practiced on Saturday and Sunday by students in Akuac and other residential areas.
A letter seen by Good News Radio, indicates that the cultural activities are allowed to be conducted at Akon-Boui opposite Rumbek Freedom Square which is currently under renovation.
The document states that violators will be caught and sent to court; pay a fine of 4,000 South Sudanese Pounds and one month imprisonment.
