Rumbek town court has on Friday sentenced veronica Mike and Theresa Amer to prison for mixing flour with diesel.

The two women while preparing to bake some bread, mistakenly poured diesel in the flour instead of cooking-oil.

Upon realizing, the women threw the flour outside the fence, unfortunately some children from the neighbour picked up, cooked and ate it.

The three children are currently under medical care at Rumbek State Hospital.

Speaking to Good News Radio, Deputy Senior Inspector for Public Health, James Magok Akec says the two women were arrested for throwing the flour anyhow.

Magok says the health condition of the three children is good.

The two women were charged to pay 10,000 South Sudanese pounds each and sent to prison for three months without bail.

The public health authority has been hard on traders who sell expired goods and those who damp garbage anyhow in Rumbek residential areas.
