Governor’s Advisor on Youth and Sports Affairs in Yei River State, Wani Tom appreciates non-governmental organizations or NGOs, especially Reconcile International, for supporting the government in organizing activities that unite the people.
According to Radio Easter, he encourages other partners to do the same because the government and NGOs are the stakeholders of the state.
‘I would to register my sincere thanks to Reconcile International, for stsanding with the state. I would like also to encourage all other partners amidst us, to do the same. We as partners, the government, NGOs, all of us, we are the stakeholders of this state. We will request you always to cooperate and I want to register my sincere thanks’, says Tom.
Wani also appreciates the youth for involving in activities which give hope for the future.
He calls on the young people to stand together and fight against tribalism because it tears people apart.
Tom urges football players to work for peaceful coexistence and call them as South Sudanese because this is their country.
‘To the youths, as the Advisor, I am very much thankful for all your activities that you have been doing. I have been seeing some great things in the youth of Yei River State and that one gives us a hope for the future, stresses’.
The advisor spoke at Yei Freedom Square during the opening of the peace tournament on Saturday in Yei.
