The Catholic Bishops Conference denied and condemned the alleged report by Catholic News Service and other media houses in Juba about Bishops’ statement on the formation of the Unity government in Sudan.

Secretary-General of the South Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Secretariat in Juba, Fr. Charles Abbud Edward, says the Secretariat categorically denounces the report.
He says there is no any statement released by Catholic Bishops in South Sudan about the formation of government of national unity in the Sudan.
Fr. Abbud warns journalists and social media users on reporting unconfirmed stories.
He appreciates Sudanese for their courage and urges them to pray hard for peace and stability in their country.
