Women leader urges government to give them space for expression

The Chairperson of Women Association in Rumbek appeals to the state authorities to allow them take part in decision making at government level. 
 
Good News Radio quotes Agum Joseph saying women in South Sudan are left behind because they are not given key positions and their opinions are not considered. 
 
Agum was expressing some of the challenges faced by women during a live radio talk show organized by AVSI to encourage women participation in governance and decision making in families and public offices.
 
‘Give us a chance to represent ourselves and to govern’ she requests.
 
The chairlady encourages follow women to stand firm, work hard to be in same position with men and speak up for their rights.
 
AVSI project officer Abraham Bakueinyin appeals to men to train women to be good leaders and decision makers.
 
The officials made the remarks during a Radio talk show on Women participation program in Rumbek on Thursday.
