The commissioner of Manlor County of Tonj state is appealing to humanitarian agencies to support families affected by floods in his county.
Paul Mangong Awak says the rains started heavy this year and many families are affected, Voice of Hope Radio reports.
He adds the people of Manlor County are facing many challenges in term of food security, diseases and lack of shelters.
Commissioner Paul mentions that this year they were able to cultivate various crops after the conflict between the cattle keepers and farmers but heavy rains destroyed everything.
The Commissioner is calling for emergency response from humanitarians’ agencies to visit his county and save affected citizens.
