Nonviolent Peace Force on Monday started two-day training for youth on civilians’ protection in Rumbek to empower youth to protect themselves without use of arms in their inhabitants.
Speaking to Good News Radio, Nonviolent Peace Force Youth Engagement Project Coordinator Samuel Mabor Aliit said the training will help young people to protect themselves without the use of arms in the state.
He is optimistic that the workshop will enables them to know their rights and those of the public.
Alit said the initiative would change youth attitudes to unity and live in peaceful co-existence.
He added that this two-day training is meant for second batch of youth protection teams of three counties of Rumbek Center.
The training brought 30 participants from Malek, Amongpiny and Rumbek Counties in Rumbek.
