Authorities of South Sudan Council of Churches on Saturday concluded three-day hate speech and peace awareness training to 40 participants in Rumbek.
South Sudan Council of Churches regional facilitator Pastor Bang Akuei urged the faith-based group to help the community to refrain from hate speeches.
He describes hate speech as one of the elements which causes conflict among the communities of South Sudan.
Rumbek Catholic Diocesan Coordinator Monsignor John Mathiang Machol appreciated the South Sudan Council of Churches for training the faithful on hate speeches elimination.
He requested the participants to practice skills they have acquired in order to bring peace in their various institutions.
The three-days training brought together 40 participants from youth, women group, civil society organization, religious’ leaders and traditional chiefs.
