The citizens of Tonj State on Thursday called on the government to think about dogs that are loitering inside the town.

Captain Kuol Manyual says the whole town is occupied by the dogs which are not useful found in bursaries and restaurants, Don Bosco Radio reports.

There are some diseases caused by dogs which also affect human beings in the town.

Manyual says the presence of dogs in the town causes a lot of problems especially to school going children who fear and return home early.

He calls on the government to screen the tame animals loitering in the town without owners.

Alfred Athian, one of the citizens, says the presence of dogs around the town is a burden to citizens in the state because they will bring sickness to the people.

He calls on those who have dogs to take care of their dogs and give them medicines for their health.
