A priest told faithful at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei on Sunday that Christians attend prayers on Sundays because of their faith in God.

Radio Easter quoted Fr John Loboka Morris, Rector of St Paul’s National Major Seminary in Juba explaining that God sends his prophets to show the right way to Christians when they are oppressed and suffer from hunger.

The priest says that God sends his prophets to speak to the people of politics and urges the Church never to get involved in party politics.

He argues that the church should not be accused of being involved in party politics because even God is interested in politics.

Fr Loboka clarifies that there is difference between party and Church politics.

The Church is always concerned with the politics because it is the welfare of the people.
