The Deputy Governor of Tonj confirms that the state government has handed over five heads of cattle to the commissioner of Kuarjina in Wau State on Saturday.
According to Don Bosco Radio, Minister of Information William Wol Mayom says the handing over is the fulfillment of the peace conference in Wau last month.
He adds that Tonj State is so committed to collect all raided cattle and hand to their rightful owners for the implementation of resolutions of the conference.
Wol assures the government of Wau State that the remaining cows should be collected as soon and given them to the owners.
He calls on the government of Wau State to tell citizens that the three states’ authorities are working hard to restore peace and harmony among the citizens.
The minister also calls upon the citizens to be patient and give chance to the government to do its work for the implementation of the signed resolution.
Don Bosco Radio couldn’t reach the commissioner of Kuarjina County to comment on the matter.
