The Inspector of basic schools in Yei River County on Monday confirmed that school girls are getting the cash transfer from Girls Education South Sudan or GESS.
Sebit Faustino Alfred explains that the girls from primary five to eight and from senior one to four are the beneficiaries of the project which will run for five years, Radio Easter reports.
He urges the girls to use the money in the right way by providing scholastic materials including books pens and many others to reduce the Barden of the parents

A Student of Nehemiah Secondary School, Jackline Okti expresses gratitude for the support given to girls to boost their performance in the school.
She explains that they received two thousand fifty South Sudanese Pounds and that some of the money will be given in November.
Another student, Clementina Levi, says she is grateful for the support given to the girls, but that is not enough to fulfill all their demands.
She urges GESS to extend the same support to the school boys for them not to feel bad
