Civil Society Network for Eastern Equatoria organized debriefing on security arrangements in Eastern Equatoria on Wednesday.
The activity aims at providing opportunity for army officials to brief civil society on progress and challenges in the implementation of security arrangements in the country, Radio Emmanuel reported.
Speaking at the event chairperson of Civil Society Network Eastern Equatoria Charles Okullo says civil society wants to influence the implementation of the peace agreement.
While Eastern Equatoria team leader of Area Joint Military Ceasefire Committee Brigadier general Cornelius Abele cites logistical support as a major challenges for deployment of forces at the cantonment sites.
General Abele says Area Joint Mechanism Ceasefire will train forces within 45 days from the start of the exercise.
Whereas SPLA-IO Colonel Dominic Odemi Maring says forces will be grouped in two phases.
The officials were speaking during one day debriefing organized by Civil Society Network for Eastern Equatoria at state SPLM secretariat in Torit.
