South Sudan is expected to host the first African Oil and Power conference on October 29th, 2019 in Juba, says Minister of Petroleum

Awow Daniel Chuang describes the upcoming meeting as very important because it will bring new oilfield technology to the country to produce more quality oil and gas.

He discloses having more refineries for future use and concentrate on community development especially environmental technologies.

The mandate of Africa Oil and Power conference is to sustain the South Sudanese financial system, the minister reveals.

‘For our third conference the theme is ‘Finance’ it’s a major theme because local businesses cannot grow without it, how to deal with trade restrictions and so on,’ the minister explains

African Oil and Power partner James Chester says South Sudan is lacking a lot of things especially maintaining finances.

The officials spoke during a press conference in Juba on Thursday.
