The Community International Development Agency or CIDA in collaboration with United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS on Thursday handed over two new boreholes to Tonj State authorities.
Anastasie Nyirigira Mukangarambe, UNMISS team leader from Kuajok says they are handing over two boreholes to the Ministry of Water, Cooperative and Rural Development, Don Bosco Radio reports.
Drilling of two the boreholes in Manyangok County of Tonj State has approximately cost 27 thousand USD, the official explains.
State Minister of Water Cooperative appreciates the initiative and encourages them to work closely with the state authority.
Tonj Governor Mathew Mathiang Magoordit also praises international organisations for their commitment.
He assures them to be aware of re-opening new airstrip in Tonj State.
The officials made their remarks on Thursday during hand over of two hand pumps to the Ministry of Water and Rural Development in Tonj.
