Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO with support from Justice Africa Organization held three-day inter-communal peace conference in Wau State.
The conference was under the theme: ‘Yes to dialogue, no to violence’.
CEPO Coordinator for Greater Bahr-El-Ghazal, Stephen Robo Musa, explains that the conference aims at reducing hatred and discrimination among people.
The conference will help people to think positively and for peaceful co-existence, he adds.
Robo urges people to stay away from causing conflict and also identity individuals who are contributing to it.
Archbishop of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan in Wau, Moses Deng Bol, appeals to the people to avoid violence and take dialogue as the only way for bringing peace.
He also calls on the government to implement the resolutions that will come out from the conference.
The conference brought together different communities within Wau State, government officials and religious leaders.
