The Parish Priest of Holy Cross of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek asked the faithful to listen to God’s message when attending church services.
Fr. John Skinneda preached on Sunday that some people come to the church simply not to pay attention.
He explained that many people come to the church when their minds are occupied with different activities like going to the farms, markets and looking for witchcrafts to accumulate wealth.
‘Some people are like Martha. They just run up and down all the time. They come to church, but they are not listening about what’s happening in church. They are thinking about the weeding in their farm, thinking about going to the market and what to buy, school, what they are going to wear thinking about their sick child and witch doctor or pray to Jesus’ said Akinneda.
Fr. Skinneda says God calls people to listen and will deal with difficulties in human lives.
