The parish priest of the Christ the King Cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Yei on Saturday celebrated his twenty second year of the services.
Fr Tom Poru Martin explains that he, Fr Dominic Wani, Fr Abraham Alhaj of Yei and Fr Gabriel Asida of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba were ordained on July 20,1997.
He adds that Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro ordained them at St Thereza’s Cathedral Kator in Juba.
The priest cites that the work of a priest is a holy ministry which prepares the Christians to be good.
Fr Tom mentions challenges and joy which he faced in the ministry and that they were meant to strengthen him in his faith.
God stands with Christians as He stood with the Israelites when they were slaves in Egypt, he notes.
Meanwhile Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Yei Fr Zachariah Angutuwa asks the faithful to pray for the priest.
He urges the youth to think of the Church because it is the voice of the people and wants people who will work in it.
The Church leaders spoke to Radio Easter on Saturday at Christ King Cathedral in Yei.
