Marial-Lou County Commissioner of Tonj State says they are experiencing challenges of poor roads and insecurity.

Bath Gur Deng in his statement to Don Bosco Radio says the people of Marial County are facing a lot of difficulties due to insecurity and poor road access as major problems.

‘Thieves are the one confusing the communities and lack of roads helping in insecurity which is out of control to identify the problems that happening from neighbouring counties’, he explains.

The commissioner points out that the root causes of conflicts among communities in his county are issues of high dowries and pregnancies.

‘Most of the communities are depending on girls as a source of their income but we are planning on how to control this act with the other commissioners’, he adds.

Gur appeals to the state government to address issues of insecurity and poor roads for development of the county and the state at large.

‘Let’s implement peace and have a democratic country’, he says.

The official made the remarks to Don Bosco Radio in Tonj after the governors’ forum.
