The Director-General of the Ministry of Culture in Torit State encourages the public to develop youth skills.

According to Emmanuel Radio Wani Kute says South Sudanese are gifted and need to practice to improve their levels though there is lack of vocational schools.

‘Skills is a gift from God but we are lacking development and you will find it in vocational training schools unfortunately it is not all functioning actively’, he adds.

The director calls on youth to avoid involving themselves in criminal activities such as killing and cattle raiding.

He asks citizens to join vocational schools to better implement their skills in developmental and profitable activities.

‘Everyone should be careful to know how to handle their skills and avoid stealing from other people once you are broke or jobless but you better work hard’, he says.

The director-general made the remarks while addressing the gathering during World Youth Skill Day at Torit Freedom Square on Monday.
