East Africa holds customs and tax code of ethics workshop in Tanzania

The East African Community or EAC in collaboration with the World Customs Organization is organizing a five-day workshop from July 15th to 19th, 2019 in Arusha, Tanzania.
 
The objective of the workshop is to discuss and assess progress on the implementation of EAC integrity instruments in each partner state.
 
The Secretariat in a statement says the course funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation or NORAD, will revive efforts to inspire truth and ethics among customs and other government officials.
 
Among those to attend the workshop are officers from national integrity and anti-corruption agencies, custom administrators and revenue authority officers.
 
Some participants include World Customs Organization officials, Private Sector representatives and African Union Advisory Board on Corruption.
