Kafia-Kingy County Executive Director in Raja of Lol State calls for justice after fifty days of detention by the state government before he was transferred to Wau.
 
Apath Deng Apath was accused of selling gold, an accusation he denied.
 
He asks the national government to intervene in the case.
 
‘We have been arrested for fifty days, with torture, without evidence from the committee formed by the state government concerning the issue’, said Deng.
 
Joseph Romano, administration officer says some citizens reported that there is a place rich in gold.
 
‘What happened was that, citizens reported that there is a place which they believe to be rich in gold, but when I went, I did not find anything and this is why the state government has accused us of selling out gold’, according to Romano.
 
One of the people who were imprisoned also says he is more than a month since he was taken to jail without warrant of arrest.
 
The two officials and citizens are calling on the national government to guarantee their safety and security in Raja.
 
Radio could not reach the state government of Lol State to comment on the matter.
