Paramount chief said during courage award to guinea worm patient in Pachong citizens that peace brings healthy life to local people in remote areas.
Speaking to the press, Chief Ater Madut Majut says when there is peace non-governmental organizations are able to access and deliver services to affected people.
Majut calls on Gelweng youth to silence their guns and allow free movement of NGOs staff in the region.
‘With peace, a lot of things take place like change life. Keep peace! If it was not because of peace, carter center would have not moved all over South Sudan to fight guinea worm. When you’re walking along the road with your guns, don’t stop NGO staff because these people are going to help vulnerable people including your mother and father. If you take the life of NGO staff, means you kill the nation’, Majut reiterated.
