Principal dedicates award to Loreto Girls’ students and staff

The award of courage given in Washington belongs to the students and staff of the Loreto Girls’ Secondary School, says the Principal of, 
 
Good News Radio quoted Sr Orla Treachy on Monday saying the students and the work force of Loreto put a lot of their efforts to realize quality education in the society.
 
The American administration in March this year gave Sr Orla Treachy and nine other females, International Women of Courage Award in USA.
 
Sr Orla reveals that though the school is going on well, forced marriage is a major challenge affecting the girl education.
 
The Nun urges parents to trust their daughters and allow them to continue with their education for a bright future.
 
Meanwhile the head teacher of Loreto Girls’ Secondary School, Charles Yuga appeals to the people in Western Lakes State and South Sudan at large to support girls’ education and avoid giving them out early for marriage before completing school.
 
Loreto Girls’ boarding Secondary School was established in 2008 by Loreto Sisters through invitation of the late Bishop Caesar Mazzolari.
 
Every year, Loreto Girls’ Secondary School records cases of forced marriage preventing girls to further their education.
