Authorities in Torit East County report that flooding has destroyed crops and killed two women in the area over the weekend.
Speaking to Radio Emmanuel, Commissioner Tobby Majak Thomas says heavy rains resulted to the death of two women.
Commissioner Majak says majority of the people are forced to start cultivation from zero, on high lands, to avoid future destruction in case heavy rains continue.
He advises the population to continue with farming to fight the looming hunger.
