Teacher calls on parents to respect child’s rights

Don Bosco Primary School teacher in Tonj State calls on parents and guardians to respect the rights of the child by not forcing them to marry.
 
During a live discussion on Don Bosco Radio, Valentino Angony Dut urges South Sudanese to allow their daughters to go to school.
 
He says to educate a girl; is more profitable to the whole nation.
 
Angony reminds the government to take action against anyone who violates the rights of the child.
 
Maria Agok Maple from Police Child Protection Unite says there are many cases of early and forced marriages across the country.
 
She stresses that a girl who is forced to marry will not love her husband and will experience a lot challenges throughout her life.
 
Agok calls on the parents to respect child’s rights.
 
She highlights food, basic needs and school as some of the rights that need to be respected.
